Companion Care
Connection, companionship and a little extra support along the way.
Companion care is about more than simply having someone there. It’s about connection, independence and having support that makes everyday life feel a little easier — and a little less lonely.
Changing Tides offers personalized, non-medical companionship for older adults who may benefit from some extra support, whether that means sharing a cup of coffee and conversation, getting out for a walk, attending an appointment, running errands together, preparing a meal, enjoying a favourite hobby, or simply having someone to spend time with.
I also bring experience supporting individuals living with dementia and understand the importance of meeting each person where they are, adapting to their needs, and creating moments of connection without expectation.
Companion care can also provide families and caregivers with the opportunity to step away for a few hours knowing their loved one has meaningful company and support.
There doesn’t have to be a long list of things to accomplish. Sometimes a good visit is simply a good visit.
Support may include:
Companionship & conversation
Walks, outings & activities
Appointment accompaniment
Errands & transportation
Light meal preparation
Reading, hobbies & meaningful activities
Dementia-informed companionship
Respite for family caregivers
Changing Tides provides non-medical support. Services are personalized based on the individual and family's needs.
